If you consider a visit to Suriname it’s important to know that you have to have cash handy because most stores/businesses accept only cash. There are some places where you can pay with credit cards,such as
Hotels and Restaurants, The best card to have in Suriname is Maestro,a debit card that is backed by Master card. If you have a Visa card,there are very few places where you will be able to pay. So don’t let it be a surprise to you. Surinamese still love to accept cash. You can get cash for for your visa card at namely the RBTT bank in Paramaribo. In one of my next posts,I will give you a list of Surinamese businesses that accept credit cards,and which one.
